Planning Commission
The planning commission meets the 4th Monday of each month at 5:00pm. They only meet if there are agenda items. In order to be placed on the agenda for zoning requests or subdivision requests or any other item, contact Planning Commission by email or at (304) 530-6142 by the Wednesday before the meeting.
Comprehensive Plan
A Comprehensive Plan is a long-range policy document that guides future growth, development and resource allocation in accordance with WV State Code, 8A-3. The critical components are land use, housing, transportation, economic development, community facilities, environmental protection and historical preservation. The Plan must be updated every 10 years and the Planning Commission is in the process of updating the current Plan.
The survey for our Comprehensive Community Plan is now complete, and we are pleased to share the Draft Comprehensive Community Plan for public review. The draft is available on the Town website below, and hard copies can be obtained at the Town Office. If you need the document in another language or format, we will do our best to accommodate.
